John Haskins

A contemporary painter with vibrant flair and an impressionist style, John Haskins remains a firm favourite among collectors.

After gaining his City and Guilds Diploma in Illustration at art school, John Haskins had a successful early career as Chief Technical Illustrator in industry before deciding to devote his full attention to his first love of landscape and figurative painting.

This decision enabled him to combine his passion for travel with the opportunity to paint and collect material from around the world. A successful career spanning decades, and the universal popularity of his work has yielded successful exhibitions and one-man shows in many international locations including Australia, London, Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York, and Paris.  His paintings can be found in major galleries and private collections around the world and continue to be sought-after by a wide range of collectors.  He is published with many international publishers commissioning his work for magazine front covers, book illustrations, limited editions and greeting cards.

Working today from his studio at his Bedfordshire home in the heart of the English countryside, his paintings reflect all the atmosphere and color of his surroundings. His lifelong attention to detail lends an authenticity to the rural and family sensibilities evoked.
